Artist's Statement

I am glad to say that art for me is more than just a hobby; it is my way of life. My only regret is that I don't get to create everything that I would like. While I have been involved in art most of my life, it wasn't until the end of my senior year of high school that I began to consider a career in art. It was the availability of the digital field that really pursuaded my decision. It was a way for me to not only persue my love for art but also my love for film and animation.

My view on art is simple and that is try to create something that is more than ordinary but also something that is original as possible. My biggest problem popular culture is it's love of the mundaine and over duplicated. That I would have to say is my biggest inspiration and motivation for my work. I strive to create something out of the ordinary and shocking to the individual viewer.

At this point I find myself focusing on the field of digital animation. In addition to animation I focus on character rigging and lighting developement. I am currently working with the integration of muscle deformers and corrective blendshapes into my new rigs. I am also working on improving my knowlege of complex lighting senarios with both indoor and outdoor environments. As for my future career goals I would love to some day be working for a film company creating cartoony and or fantasy based animation.
