Kuang-Chen Hsu

He is originally from Kaohsiung city, Taiwan and currently living in Lawrence, Ks, studying his Ph.D. in educational technology at the University of Kansas. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Digital Arts from Bowling Green State University, OH. in 2010.

His works have been created in many different media, such as computer animation, digital paintings, virtual reality, and interactive design. He combined with these previous experinces to form the philosophy of education in technology. As Levenson & Stasheff said new technology would increase classroom efficiency, solve teacher shortages, and replace “bad” teaching. In doing this, Kuang-Chen inclined to constructivists’ perspective that good constructivist educational technology such as animation and interactive game can foster improving conceptual knowledge and problem-solving strategies within education while also enhancing students’ motivations.
