Hello hello! The name is Emily Kardamis; I'm an illustrator/animator/comic artist. Currently, I'm a student at Bowling Green State University, working toward a BFA in Digital Arts (focus in 3D Animation) with a minor in Computer Science. I'm proficient in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator, and mildly proficient with After Effects.

As an artist, I always love to focus on storytelling--whether it's through a sequential format or a single piece. That's why I'm so inclined to create comic art, and I'm constantly working on my own narratives whenever I get the chance. I believe that stories are the backbone of our increasingly complex world, and I'm always trying to capture the magic and the spirit of an encompassing narrative in each of my works, no matter how simple or complex that narrative may be.

When I'm not drawing or spending hours at a computer rendering my latest animation, I also love to write (when I'm not devouring books myself), work on developing video games (when I'm not playing others), and generally just try to make the most fun out of my time.

In 2012, I finished my first full graphic novel, titled Paradigm Shift. It explores many themes about self-discovery, how I personally view the world, and how this affects my relationship with everything. Some selections from this comic can be found on this site, but you can read it in its entirety here, which is now updating every Tuesday and Friday with its sequel titled Dream State.

If you'd like to see more of my work, I have a causal art blog that I try to update daily with both sketches and finished works.

And that's that! Thanks for visiting and the like--I appreciate it immensely, and I hope you like what you see!
