Hi .

Are you aware that seperation of church and state has increasingly diminshed since it's establishment in 1787 in the US constitution? Religion has become a theme in many forms of nationalism, running for political office, currency, schooling, and judicial proceedings.
It is a common misconception that the United States is a religious nation or a Cristian nation. The freedom from religion noted in the constitution is often disregarded under the pretense that the country's founders were Christian. However, many explicit statements of the founders can easily disprove this misnomer. Most founders actively rejected oranized religion and/or the predominant Christianity and labeled themselves only as deists, agnostics, atheists. Though even then, their believes are admittedly irrelevant to establishing a country free from those beliefs.
