Charles Blanton

Charles James Blanton was born in Columbus, Ohio 1988. In 2007 he began attending Bowling Green State University were he is continuing his studies until his expected graduation date in August 2011. At an early age he became fascinated with the seemingly endless possibilities that the digital medium awakened for art as a means of entertainment. This interest was sparked by a variety of films, including, but not limited to, The Rescuers Down Under (a 1990 Walt Disney film), Hook (a 1991 Steven Spielberg film), The Wrong Trousers (a 1993 animated film produced by the British film studio Aardman Animations), and video games, including Super Mario 64 (1996) and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998.) His passion for cinema, video games and the immersive world that they shared with him became the driving force behind the artist that he is today. After graduation he aspires to be a concept artist, working with a team of individuals creating the awe inspiring worlds that provoked his initial interest in the digital medium.
