FINAL

Alternative Digital Printing

Summer 2007

Final Due Wednesday, June 20th

Final Goals Due Tuesday, June 12th

Part I, Process

Your Choice:

  1. Re-visit one or more processes we covered that you needed more time with.
  2. Re-visit one or more processes we covered that you want to take further
  3. Explore another alternative process that we did not have time to cover.  Examples:  Printing on Fabric, under or overprinting with traditional media such as pastel or paints, or working with texture.  I can cover other items individually.
  4. Any combination of the above.

Part II, Content

You will be held accountable for the content of your work.  By this I mean that you will be able to explain during critique what your work is about or why you did it and why you chose the process and materials.  This could span formal concerns, narrative, structural, personal, abstract, political, to name a few.  Think about how your process further adds to what you are saying with your work.  For example, what does seeing wood grain have to do with an image of a building?

Part III, Contract, DUE Tuesday, June 12th

BREIFLY write out your intentions on paper and turn in a hard copy.  I fully understand that once you get working, things may (and most likely will) change.  You need to start with something.  Your contract will have the following sections:

Part I, Process and How many:

Choose a process(es) and set a goal for how many you intend to finish.

Part II, Content:

Tell me what you want to say or explore with your work.

Final Critique Day

The final critique will be on the 20th of June.  All work is due then.

Please find a place to display your final.  This way, people can see it and I can photograph it.
