To Make a Spectral Density Negative

 

Clear-based transparency doesnŐt hold the ink as well, so give transparency a color cast to make a reasonable density.

 

Use Orange color for UV processes:

 

Cyan:   0

Magenta          71

Yellow                        71

Black   0

 

1)

Take grayscale image that you have already applied levels to

 

2)

Invert the grayscale to create negative

 

3)

Convert mode to RGB

 

4)

Click foreground color and specify the above percents.

 

5)

Fill the image with the foreground color

 

6)

In fill dialogue, specify 100 % opacity and MODE: color and color mode.

 

Processing Van Dyke Brown:

 

1)

expose with test strips

 

2)

rinse for 2 min

 

3)

fix  with 3%  or 20 g sodium thiosulfate to 1,000 ml of water for 1 min

 

4)

hypo clear for 2 min

 

5)

final wash for 10-15 min
