Nick Park

Born in Preston, Lancashire in 1958, Nick Park started animating at the age of 13. in 1975 the BBC showed one of his earliest works entitled Archie's Concrete Nightmare.

Creature Comforts, The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave are Nick Park's three Academy Award winning animations. A Grand Day Out marked the introduction of Wallace & Gromit. Park started work on this animation while attending National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield, England. Park joined Aardman Animations in 1985 where he finished and published A Grand Day Out. In 2000 Aardman Animations made Chicken Run for Dreamworks. Park is now working on a Wallace & Gromit feature The Curse of the Wererabbit that should be out in late 2004 or 2005.

Nick Park's stop motion clay animation style is very unique and can recognized immediately.

Fun Fact: In 1987, Park animated the Peter Gabriel Music video "Sledgehammer".
