Required Reading:

  • Prepare to Board! ...to Chaper 6-9

Note: 4 Categories, each cateory with 5 cards

  • Character: Occupation, gender, species, organic/ inorganic, texture, ability, age, time period, traits, physical attributes, desires (!= need)
  • Location: France, Dog’s back, refrigerator, etc. Time period.
  • Situations, Occupations: Birthdays, weddings, funerals, jail breaks, alien abductions, trips to the dentist, preparation of a meal, a dance, a wedding, thieves, shepherds, and insurance salesmen are all fair game.
  • Possible Conflict: What weaknesses do these characters have? Do their parents approve of what they are doing? Is one character in danger? Is it searching for something?

  • 2 story ideas:concept, short description (synopsis), and Premise
  • each short story idea should have only 12 index card thumbnails
  • index card requirement: 3*5, with 16:9 ratio
  • thumbnails need to be scanned/ pictured to be able to show digitally.
  • Rough Style Frame: each story should have at least 1 color / style exploration sheet (Character with background set, the lighting of the scene that encapsulates the story.)
  • Character Profile / Background Description
  • Publish the proposal as Blog Post #10A
