ARTC400-2: Digital Photography

Course Description:

An artistic exploration of the broad definition of digital photography within the continuum of digital arts, photography, and art in general. Class emphasis will be on understanding and developing CONCEPTS connected with art, individual expression, theory, contemporary criticism, history and technique while using digital photography as the framework. Includes the exploration of a number of devices treated as cameras such as scanners, traditional cameras, low end digital cameras, professional grade digital cameras, and cell phone cameras. Five studio hours. Prerequisites: ARTC 201, ART 102, ART 103, ART 112 or consent of instructor. Extra fee.
