Welcome to the Digital Arts Department at Bowling Green State University. Our students study topics ranging from digital imaging to 3D modeling to animation and video. This site is designed as a resource for our students, but the pages here are open to anyone. So, feel free to poke around.   • Welcome back! School starts on August 25, 2008. The computer labs will open on Tuesday, August 26 and a meeting for anyone interested in being a lab monitor will be held on Tuesday at 5pm in the Cave Lab (room 1030).

  • Dena Eber curated the SIGGRAPH 2008 SpaceTime student art competition and exhibition. The exhibition showcased student work in animation, interactive screen and installation work, and digital print from around the world. The exhibition took place in Los Angeles, CA. Aug 11-15, 2008

  • SIGGRAPH 2008 conference was held August 11-15 in Los Angeles, CA.

    Congratulations to Wayne Silasi and Melissa Griffith for having their work selected as part of the SIGGRAPH 2008 SpaceTime print exhibition. There were a total of 238 applicants, with 212 completed submissions for the print competition and only 40 works selected. Thus, having work accepted into the exhibition is quite a big deal.

    Melissa Griffith also won third place for her series of prints.

  • Bonnie Mitchell, Dena Eber, and Anthony Fontana presented a talk titled, "Artistic Expression Using Second Life in the Classroom" during the SIGGRAPH conference. Their talk was on Thursday, August 14 from 1:45 to 3:30.
